carrier ratting
looks like since we got lvl5 upgrades in a drone region system, giving us two drone hordes (Sanctums) at a time, I'm able to grind up a bil in about 3 x 2-hour ratting sessions over the last 2 weeks.

in an out of nullsec.
after 3 alliances and 3 multi-trip carrier moves across the map (master cynoer btw.) I end up in NPC land once more. whoring on that LP faucet.
few ex corpies start saying theyre now renters in a system that needs ratters. So sure why not. 100 mil /hr in carrier ratting doesn't sound bad.
finally picked up CCC rigs for my carrier, two more DCU's (12 drones rawr), and some tank fittings. Time to finish carrier v.
I shot at a pocos today, after about an hour of fighters and two nagas I got it down to about half armor. I picked up blasters for nagas, should speed it up. I never solod (well, trippled) a strucutre before. :P
Anyway, before ending up in High Carebeardom Central, I did manage to top Red Galaxy's kb for last month, but only coz those guys were busy moving and helping with alliance shit. Hope to fly with those guys again some time.

sometimes you get your wish ☻
I was a bit eve'd out, logistics and shopping all day, and wanted an easy hulk kill before I logged off. I undock beef in a cheetah. Theres a hulk right on station.. meh. Station ganks are hard.
Keep looking.
Checked the belts in the whole constellation, nothing. Come back. Hulk .. still there, drifting off, by now 120KM off station.
I cloaky-sneak up behind him, hes moving at 69m/s, my cloaked velocity is 500m/s. Can't figure out how to BM it, so I decide Im gonna race ahead in his path, say +40, and BM a spot ahead in his direction - which gives me enough time to dock, buy some gank ships, fit them, undock, warp to planet, and warp to BM.

derp + noob.. = nerp?
Had a mack in hull. While solely concentrating on DPS I never trained Propulsion Jamming, counting on the usual afk'ers. This guy initiated warp as soon as I got off the 1st volley.. got off with just a bit large repair bill.

scoping for possible targets, I saw a tornado on scan IN a belt, but nothing else. Thinking he's a bold ganker just waiting for prey, I warped at distance and.. suddenly:

first blood
my two catalyst pet-project-alts are 1 day of training in, and nearing 450 DPS combined. Training for implants and overheating are the major time hogs looking ahead.

started two new alts for Catalyst / -10 track. As Ez pointed out, there is no point in buying a gank toon since it can be trained so cheaply / quickly.

The Game, The Puppet
Eve online has a really interesting concept for subscription, in that you can use the wealth generated in-game, to pay for the game. As my main nears its 4th birthday, and the BeefFleet now sports 3 accounts with a combined 4.5K DPS, this plot from Eveboard paints the picture:
What this is not showing is my gains in standings with two factions i burnt to -10 while running too many anti-faction missions in Gallente space, all the dips not marked as plex purchases are tag purchases to turn in data-center missions. I'm up from -6.8 to -5 this month .. still a bit to go.
Since the process leaves me with little surplus cash, foreseeably for another 2 months, I've downscaled my hulk ganking addiction from BC's to destroyers. But the Crucible expansion made that transition a smooth one since Catalyst now rates at 730ish DPS, I can still down most hulks with 2 cats (or solo macks.) Nothing quite big-scale as my Gankvember spree, but still:
